Transportation to Airport from Nairobi City Center

You can reach the airport from Nairobi city center by taxi or the airport shuttle service that is provided by your hotel. There are the minibuses called 'matatu' and the buses for the passengers who prefer public transportation. Renting a car is another transportation alternative you can prefer. Bus

You can get on the bus number 34 departing from the city center to reach the airport. Ticket price only costs 50 KES and your journey takes about 40 minutes.

Hotel shuttle services offered by the hotels are one of the most comfortable transportation alternatives if you don’t want to lose time with renting a car because it is necessary to bargain with taxi drivers and means of public transportation are troublesome. If your hotel provides this service, you need to contact your hotel in advance and make a reservation to take advantage of this service.

Taking a taxi is generally a frequently preferred transportation option in the city. However, you should remember that you need to bargain for taxi fare. If you are going to take a taxi to reach the airport, you can ask your hotel to help you with this, so you can travel by a trusted and safer taxi. Public buses connect the airport to various parts of Riyadh, including the city center. They typically operate during daytime hours, but schedules and routes should be confirmed at the airport information desk. Look for clearly marked bus stops at the arrivals area.

Metro

Riyadh metro system consists of six lines, connecting 85 stations. Line 4, or also known as the Yellow Line, runs from King Khalid International Airport to the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). Passengers opting for public transportation can use the metro, as it is available at the airport exits, and tickets can be obtained from machines at the station.

Rental Cars

Car rental agencies at the airport allow travelers to drive themselves to the city center. Ensure you have a valid international license and insurance. Parking is available at most hotels and key locations in Riyadh.

Hotel Shuttles

Many hotels in Riyadh provide shuttle services to and from the airport. Contact your hotel in advance to confirm pick-up arrangements and locations. These services are especially useful for first-time visitors.
