One of the stops along this route is Bremen Am Brill, which is a 5-minute walk from the historic city center, where St. Peter’s Cathedral is located. From the main train station you can transfer to a train to get to Bremerhaven, which is known as “Bremen’s Harbor”.

Renting a car is another transportation alternative to get to the city center. There are 5 different rental companies that have offices at the airport, all of which are located in Terminal 3. Each company offers vehicles with winter tires due to the city’s location in the north. In addition, each company offers vehicles that come equipped with navigation and baby car seats. You can also rent a bicycle and bike to the city center since it is located in such close proximity. Biking to the city center from the airport takes approximately 15 minutes. The airport features free bicycle parking areas in front of Terminal 2.

To drive to the city center by car make a left on Neuenlander Street once you exit the airport. This will take you to Langemarckstraße, passing directly over the Weser River, which splits the city into two, and going through the city center, which is where the central train station is located. The street named Hutfilterstraße after the bridge will take you to the historic city center.
