About Pattaya

One of Thailand's most precious holiday centers, Pattaya, is known as the gateway to the sea. Only 100 km from the country's capital Bangkok, millions of tourists come in every month of the year. Even though the total population of Pattaya is 100 thousand, with the addition of tourists, even walking in the streets may be a struggle. The city's weather temperatures vary around 32°C. During the months of March and April, the weather is hot and humid, and as for May through November, the weather seems to be hot and rainy. Most of the city residents are made up of Thai and Chinese. Apart from this many American and European retirees are seen to move here later on. The most important reason for this is that living conditions are quite easy and the residency permit given to 50+ people. The beach parallel to the city centers makes it special. Asia's biggest beach resort is also found in this city.
In the city, local bus services are frequent. Even though the city's airport U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya only, you can fly international from Bangkok International Airport. This airport is an hour and a half flight or 120 kilometers away. In the city center, it is very popular to travel by tuk-tuks, which are 3 wheeled motorcycles with hoods. You can reach all of the beaches, including Pattaya Beach, along the coast. Pattaya stands out with its festivals. The Chinese new year celebrations at the end of January, the International Music Festival at the end of March and Loi Krathong Festival is only a couple of these. Apart from festivals and concerts, Pattaya continues live 24 hours a day. The Walking Street in the city center, especially catching the tourists attention, you may find bars, restaurants, and night clubs.
