Jouf, one of the 13 regions of Saudi Arabia, shares a border with Jordan on its north. Important cities in the region include Al Jawf and Sakakah. According to data from 1999, Jouf, which has a population of about 330 thousand and has an area of about 140 thousand square kilometers, contains some historical buildings.
